A voice is technique, but a singer is more than a voice. In my masterclasses I work with singers on what comes after the technique: what do you want to say with this song, why are you standing there, and how do you make sure a hall hears it. I do this with students and with professional singers, in the Netherlands, in Curaçao and fairly regularly at the Teatro Teresa Carreño in Caracas.
